My name is Nino Pels, and welcome to my portfolio website. I’m a 27 years old, self taught photographer with an interest in outdoor, sports, events and lifestyle photography

It all started back in 2012, my mother got a camera as a birthday present but she had a hard time understanding how to use it. That’s when I decided to pick up that camera and figure out how to use it myself. I was just helping out at first, but rather quickly I became the one who was playing around with the camera constantly. At that moment my interest in photography started to grow and I began to learn more and more through trial and error.

While traveling my camera is always there with me. Looking through the viewfinder is my way to see all the details of the places I go, the things I get to experience and the people I meet. But not only that, my camera brings me to places and gets me into situations I would otherwise never get to experience. It makes me curious for what’s around the corner, waiting to be discovered. This is how I created a passion for travel, outdoor and lifestyle photography.

Besides photography I'm a student at the Academy of sports in Amsterdam. Sports has always been my second passion and it still takes a big part of my life. Especially outdoor sports like skiing and hiking get me very excited. Combining photography and sports is what I love to do the most. Being out in nature, being active and document it in the best possible way, it doesn’t get better then this!
